The AIRO V16 offers a range of up to approximately 60 km under optimal conditions. Real-world range varies depending on several factors: rider weight, terrain type (flat or hilly), outside temperature, riding speed, tyre pressure, and riding style.
A full charge generally takes between 10 and 11 hours with the supplied mains charger. The scooter is fitted with a 36V battery with a capacity of 15.6Ah. To preserve its lifespan and ride safely, we recommend using only the original charger, not leaving the scooter charging unattended or for a long time once charging is complete, charging and storing it at room temperature, and avoiding leaving it fully discharged for long periods. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
The AIRO V16 has protection against water splashes and is suitable for use in light showers or on slightly damp roads. However, it is not waterproof: we advise against riding in heavy rain, crossing puddles or flooded areas, submerging it, or cleaning it with a water jet. Excessive exposure to water can damage the electronic components and is not covered by the warranty. After riding in the rain, wipe the scooter down and let it dry before charging it again.
The AIRO V16 can climb slopes of up to approximately 14%. Actual climbing capability depends on rider weight, battery charge level, slope length, and approach speed. On slopes close to this limit or with a heavy load, climbing speed may be significantly reduced.
The AIRO V16 offers several riding modes: pedestrian mode (6 km/h), eco mode (15 km/h), intermediate mode (20 km/h) and maximum mode (25 km/h). Like most electric scooters designed for urban use, it is built not to exceed 25 km/h. Regulations applicable to personal motorised mobility devices (minimum age, permitted riding zones, insurance, mandatory equipment, etc.) change regularly and can vary from one town to another. We invite you to check the rules in force in your area with official sources (for example your national road safety authority or government website) before any use. The user remains responsible for complying with local legislation.
Yes. The AIRO V16 is a motorised land vehicle: third-party liability insurance is mandatory before any use, exactly as with an electric scooter. Remember to take out a policy as soon as you receive your vehicle.
In built-up areas, on cycle paths and green lanes, a helmet is not mandatory but is strongly recommended for your safety. A reflective vest or equipment is, however, mandatory at night or in low visibility.
